Cover Vaults Almost Empty/R. Duffy VS. CATS on the FM

Ryan Duffy contributes cover number twelve. He has chosen to attack/perform "CATS on the FM" off of Let's Drag Our Feet! Download it here.

R. Duffy is the younger/but older more stately looking brother of BOAT webmaster Z. Duffy. He single handedly supported/spent the evening with BOAT when they passed through/played Salt Lake City, Utah, last summer. He proves not only to be the funniest combat veteran/firefighter ever, but also is capable of a sloppy late night cover song or two.

BOAT hopes to catch up with him on this summer's mammoth tour.

We received some late entries to the BOAT "Month of Covers" that have languished for over a month in "BOAT cover song purgatory." longer. Tonight we have cover #11.

Here is Golden Parachutes covering "Holding All the Globes" off the Songs That You Might Not Like LP. It is rumored that Golden Parachutes is one man from Los Angeles. Oh wait....that has now been confirmed.

Is he English? Could this paltry BOAT song now be played in European clubs? Is this sloppy trance pop?

This has to be the most epic BOAT reworking we have seen so far.

There will be an attempt to post a zip file of all of the BOAT covers with appropriate artwork soon.

New Show.....Covers Collected

BOAT will be playing with Menomena and Blitzen Trapper on February 22nd, 2008 at the University of Washington. This may be one of the few shows BOAT plays until summer.

Right now BOAT is focusing almost all attention on eating healthy and recording their 3rd LP.

Oh yes.....there are more covers. Expect the final installment of covers to arrive this week.
