A. Sauer Submits a Fuzzy Cassette (Cover#5)

After checking the mail box at BOAT HQ, we found a small box from Mr. A. Sauer. It contained a bubble wrapped cassette with the title "Remember the Romans."

After transferring it to mp3 form via the BOAT HQ's karaoke machine.....it has been uploaded for you...right here.

It contains, hiss, fuzz, and drum machine. We love it.

BOAT Goes Political!

It is true. BOAT will be opening up for The Presidents of the United States of America at the Pyramid Ale House on Friday, November 9th. It is true that D. Crane has VHS recordings of almost all of PUSA's videos and live TV performances. "Mach 5" is clearly the finest of them all....or was it "Volcano" featuring The Captain (of Captain and Tenille) live on the Jenny McCarthy Show?

Woah...a four song sweep!

This is an amazing cover of "Trained By Trains," off of Songs That You Might Not Like.

It was recorded by mystery man Shane Curry. We know very little about him, except he makes us imagine Daniel Johnston singing in a sexy voice. And he is capable of a face melting solo. If anyone knows Shane, could you give us more information about him? Where does he get his beefy tone? His creamy sustain?

It is rumored that more covers are coming. Thanks to everyone who has agreed to do a song.

Make it Three in a Row!

The covers streak continues---ala the Colorado Rockies.

Here, we have a cover of "After All," by D. Ledgerwood of The Rivertubes. "After All" is the title track from the out of print and aptly titled After All EP.

D. Ledgerwood is BOAT's official saw player/button making guru.

You should look up the new Rivertubes songs, "Whirlwind Machine," and "Origami Snake Pit." They are both beautiful.

Cover Streak Continues....2 in a Row!

Here is a cover from the one and only Z. Duffy (BOAT touring/charter member).

It is a decidedly more gentle/beautiful take on "The Ferocious Sounds of Lobsters and Snakes." Download it by right clicking here and saving.

Duffy's guitar was stolen by D. Crane at the end of the "To Chicago and Back Tour." Will Crane ever mail it? Is it sitting in a box at BOAT headquarters?

Rumor has it a website redesign/overhaul is coming....and Z. Duffy will be assisting once again with his computer prowess. Look out!

Galactic Ricky covers BOAT!

We have just discovered....

Ricky from The Galactic Heroes has covered "Come With Me, We'll Win." It is amazing. Ricky plays every instrument on this recording, and presumably was able to record this song on a Sunday afternoon, while steering his fantasy football to a 2-1 record.

The Galactic Heroes are located here . Ricky's cover of Come With Me, We'll Win is located here.

The Galactic Heroes site hosts so many amazing mp3's, you could get lost there. I especially like the Monster Song Project and the jingles.

We are beyond flattered.
